The OB-100 is a tribute to the classic RB-100, offering a lighter-weight take on a traditional Mastertone-style banjo. It features a 3-ply tone rim with a specially routed channel along the top outer edge that holds a rolled brass tone ring. This design delivers a strong, focused punch while reducing overall weight.
A simple paddle-style headstock and traditional dot inlays give the OB-100 a clean, understated look, perfect for players who appreciate classic design. It still includes hallmark features such as a Mastertone one-piece cast flange and a 24-notch tension hoop. The tobacco burst resonator is bound on the back only, staying true to traditional roots.
Nickel-plated hardware including the Presto tailpiece, Gotoh tuners, and armrest adds a refined contrast to the satin-finished neck, rim, and resonator.
