The Flamenco Cypress Handcrafted Guitar is the end result of years of study, refinement, updates, and craft. José Ramírez I created the "Guitarra de Tablao" at the end of the 19th century and revolutionized the world of flamenco guitar. His disciple and younger brother Manuel Ramírez developed this, the Flamenco Cypress, by building upon the craft of José Ramírez I to achieve a flamenco guitar with a wide sonority and characteristic sound. The Flamenco Cypress has a brilliant, hoarse tone with incredible sustain and color that is still the reference for modern flamenco guitar.
The 656mm scale length ebony fingerboard sits atop a cedar neck and is paired with a solid spruce top and solid cypress back and sides to make this a beautiful and bright guitar. As with all our first-class guitars, the Flamenco Cypress is handmade in our workshop using woods that have been naturally seasoned and dried for at least 20 years. This aging process increases the stability and enriches the sound quality of the instrument.
This made-to-order guitar also includes unique options such as peghead imitation wood pegs instead of the standard Aparicio mechanical tuners, a thinner-profiled neck, and more. The price includes a handmade Manzano guitar case.
