The José Ramírez Segovia Classical Guitar is handcrafted in the Ramírez workshop in Madrid, Spain using premium, aged woods. The many hours spent crafting this guitar are on full display across every detailed inch of this instrument, from the custom-designed Alessi tuners to the cow bone nut and saddle. Brazilian rosewood is used throughout the construction beyond the guitar's solid red cedar top. Every Segovia model is a testament to the craft and care spent by José Ramírez Guitars to produce incredible instruments with rich sound.

This guitar is a replica of the one used by guitarist Andrés Segovia in the 1960s, and features improvements such as a carbon rod inside to make it more durable and a polyurethane finish. The original guitar owned by Segovia was the first to use red cedar in it, which was a finding by José Ramírez III that soon became popular around the world.

All Segovia Classical Guitars come with a Manzano case and are made to order. These guitars can be further customized during the ordering process.

Please note that the Brazilian rosewood used in this instrument has been stored since the 1950's and 1960's, and is a very limited stock. Production of this instrument will end when that stock of rosewood is exhausted.
